The ZAKIT from Xantech allows audio device, such as an iPod^TM or CD player to be easily connected to any audio distribution system. When combined with the Xantech Commercial CM8X8CTL or MRAUDIO8X8CTL , it gives the listener the ability to plug their MP3 player etc. into the distributed audio system and listen to the music through the audio system without sharing it with the rest of the zones.

The two single-gang J-box components (one in the listening area, one near the audio distribution system) allow the ZAKIT to be inconspicuously mounted, so the ZAKIT does not require large holes to be cut into a wall near eye level. Standard RCA-type input jacks allow for virtually any type of source input, so the system is not locked into one type or brand of device.
