The 686-10 is a stand alone switcher. It allows the installer and user to turn six pairs of speakers ON and OFF by way of infrared commands. A particular room may be given the ability to turn only its own speakers on or off. Another room, such as the main control room, may be given control of the entire house in a "party mode".
